 Atkins began his musical career in 1964, singing in a succession of blues rock outfits before forming a band in September 1969, named Judas Priest (named after the Bob Dylan song "The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest"). Featuring a musical direction unrelated to the future metal band, this band lasted until April 1970, developing a small following in Birmingham before splitting up over creative differences.

 More noted for forming UK'S 'Judas Priest' anad fronting them for four year and laying down the foundations which would see them eventually selling 40 minllion album world wide. He also wrote sonds for them which went gold like 'Deramer Deceiver','Never Satisfied',Winter','Caviar and Meths' and Priest's all time classics 'Victim of changes'.
As of 2012, Atkins fronts the band Atkins/May Project, which also features guitarist Paul May.  A press release dated 21 May 2011 stated that Atkins would be contributing session vocals for the heavy metal opera project, Lyraka.  In 2013, Atkins will be recording a solo album of his favorite songs written between his days in Judas Priest to the Holy Rage days. He also will be working with guitarist Stevie Young, nephew of Angus Young from AC/DC.

GOLDEN SERIES - Andromedha - 1992 - Konser Rock

Andromedha band Hard Rock dari surabaya Indonesia   Dalam formasi pertama, beberapa ahli permain lainnya iaitu Heru (Vokal), Lucky (Gitar) serta Yani dan Juki, pada 1989 merilis single 'Prestasi'. Masuk tahun 1990, ada perubahan ahli, yakni Pungky Deaz (Vokal), Hendrix Sanada (Bass) dan James (Keyboard) menggantikan posisi Heru, Yani dan Juki. Pada tranformasi ini menghasilkan single legendaris 'Lamunan' yang tersohor dan konon pula sempat merajai chart radio di Malaysia yang berdampingan dengan 'Isabella' nya SEARCH. Pada sesion rekaman debut album 'Konser Rock' tahun 1991, posisi James digantikan oleh Deny Ireng. Pada tahun 1992 hingga tahun 1993 posisi gitar ditempati oleh Ipunx dari Power Metal. GOLDEN SERIES - SOFEA Legendary Malaysian Heavy Metal.

SYJ band originally from the ` Ex - December ' which also established by Syed Yusof Jamalulail ( at that time he was a member of the traffic police in Ipoh ) . It changed to the name ` SYJ ' in 1978 . The original members ` SYJ ' 1978 consists of Halim ( guitar and keyboard) , Fat Man ( bass ) , Pak Su Nor (drums - later replaced by  Din Urko) and Hamidi ( Flute ) . Female singer Rohana Kassim . SOFEA initially established by the late Syed Yusuf Jamalulail otherwise known as " Pak syed " with SYJ name in 1983 in Kampung Manjoi Ipoh, Perak . During the SYJ just playing weddings homes only. At that time, the original vocalist Amir SYJ'86 not he taken when vocalist audition for this group . Amir joined SYJ in 1985 . Pak Syed 's house when only a jamming studio .
