Formed in 2008 when vocalist Denizone (Vocals, Bass) met Bable (Drum) while working together at a music studio, they both are a big fan of Metallica and Megadeth so they often do hour session at the studio is not rented.
Early in 2009, there was a metal compilation album project. Denizone very interested to participate in the compilation project then call Denny (guitar) and Khemal (guitar) to record the song "Thrash Metal 1983" to be included in the compilation album. Unfortunately the project was never realized, however, they are air-four thus agreed to extend the band later called Metallic Ass.
On 18 June 2009 Metallic Ass launch Mini Album titled "Thrash Metal 1983" contains three songs: Thrash Metal, 1983, My love is taken away Bajaj Pulsar and the Love Metal. The album was not sold but shared for free on a music show "Rock is Not Dead Magnetic" in Yogyakarta. They intentionally distribute free to introduce yourself and promote the work of Metallic Ass.
Music played by Metallic Ass Thrash Metal based on music that began to emerge in the plains of America in response to the music of New Wave of British Heavy Metal (Iron Maiden, Motorhead, etc.) . There is no formal agreement on the essence of the music Metallic Ass, all flowing so only on the basis of their penchant for music Thrash Metal.
They began to wander from gigs , the gigs , from small gigs to gigs like studio gigs great sound system that uses more than 10,000 watts. From there, they began to be known by the public, in particular Metal music lovers in Yogyakarta . They already upload some songs and video recordings of their gigs to start recognized more widely throughout Indonesia , but the song Thrash Metal 1983 and ASU Parkirnya Ten Thousand ever played in one of the radio in the United States . Some comments from listeners saying that " they just need to make the lyrics in English " . In response to the foregoing, Denizone as lyricist for songs Metallic Ass said that " We do not currently thought to make the lyrics in English , maybe someday it could be . Because the ideas for the songs Metallic Ass always appear so easily, if you need to in - translate into English , feel the spontaneity and honesty in music sorely lacking . We came from Indonesia , and we pride ourselves in Indonesian language . "
Their ability to release a full album materialized on 4 April 2011 with the released of Thrash Metal album in 1983, contains 10 songs: Aku Benci Bis, Distorsi Menendang Bokong, Thrash Metal 1983, Cintaku dibawa lari Motor India, Gempa Susulan, Asu Parkirnya Sepuluh Ribu, Kehabisan Pulsa, Total Erupsi, Istimewa, and The Four Horsemen (Metallica Cover). Within 3 months, the album was a direct copy of Sold Out 250.
In December 2011, they released a Thrash Metal 1983 (re-released) that the material similar to the previous album with added 2 songs: Belajar Ilmu Hitam, and Metal Sak Modare. This album was already sold out.
March 2012, Metallic Ass participate in the making of the album Conspiracy Thrash contributing an exclusive song for the album was only released "Nge-Thrash ago More Orderly Let Life" album was released by Indonesian Thrash Metal community named Yusuf Thrashead.
Along with the passage of time and how busy you are its personnel, currently Metallic Ass experienced personnel turn up leaving Denizone (Vocals, Bass), Khemal (guitar) and Yudi (Drums). Currently they are busy recording the middle of the 2nd album expected to be released in 2014.
