CORRUPT LEADERS "Grindmother" EP RELEASE

  CORRUPT LEADERS formed in April 2013, recording their debut 7" one month later.  That first year they took their rabid Canadian crust on the road to major US cities such as Detroit, Chicago, Pittsburg, Baltimore and NYC. A split 7" with Indiana's DOGMA followed with original drummer Matt Menard departing to Montreal to form DEALER.  A few months later Tyson (THE APEX) joined on drums along with additional guitarist Johny B and the lineup recorded the "Grindmother" EP.  The band is currently writing material for their first full-length LP, to be released via Give Praise Records.

 They will release their third EP, "Grindmother", digitally via Bandcamp on Feb 3.  The four song, 3 minute EP will also be released on vinyl in April 2015.

  Mixed by Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust) and mastered by Brad Boatright (From Ashes Rise) at Audiosiege, "Grindmother" marks a sharp evolution in song writing and delivery for the band, especially with the addition of new members Tyson (drums) and John (additional guitar).  On this release they seem to be gravitating from crust to grind (their usual blackened vocals ala Extreme Noise Terror, Iskra, and Dystopia are still present) with the intensity level increasingly blurring the line between punk and metal.

  "Grindmother" has already made quite a stir earlier this month, when a video of the frontman's 66-year old Mother recording guest vocals for the EP went viral, climbing past 150K views after being played on national television.

SYJ band originally from the ` Ex - December ' which also established by Syed Yusof Jamalulail ( at that time he was a member of the traffic police in Ipoh ) . It changed to the name ` SYJ ' in 1978 .  Atkins began his musical career in 1964, singing in a succession of blues rock outfits before forming a band in September 1969, named Judas Priest (named after the Bob Dylan song "The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest"). Featuring a musical direction unrelated to the future metal band, this band lasted until April 1970, developing a small following in Birmingham before splitting up over creative differences.
